Those who are familiar with my art know that I love to paint big pieces. I find it quite rewarding. However, recently I've embarked on a minis project and I love it! It's like turning a shrink ray on my pieces.
Ampersand artboards are perfect for this project. (It would be beans to stretch canvas this small methinks!) So I basically work on the panel which has a mount that I adhere to the back. Voila! Instant hanging.
I like this project because I think that size and cost shouldn't prevent an art enthusiast from owning a piece of art or having a personal portrait done. It don't like the idea that art is exclusive, because inherently colour, form and texture are not... they are everywhere in nature. So why should a relative few own art? (Sorry, my rant ends here ;) )
I'm still working on getting my online store up. However, feel free to shoot me an email if you're interested. Also, look out for uploads in the oil paintings section.
